July 2025 Health Update
Last Friday, we came home from a 3 day family trip up north where we floated on paddle boards, sat under the full moon, heard owls, and Bruce caught trout on the lake.
On Saturday afternoon Bruce had a stroke. It has affected the right side of his body arm & leg. He is being treated in Rochester and there is quite a Neurology & Oncology team assembled so far (along with PT, OT Speech therapy and awesome nursing staff). He is truly being taken care of by angels and we are in the best hands. We are still in the process of learning more from the tests and scans and formulating the very best plan on what and where his next steps are.
This is all new to us do not know a timeline of his recovery and healing, but we understand it will be a while before we can tour, perform and paint again. We hate to miss some of our favorite shows of the summer but as you know Bruce, you know he is determined to get picking, playing and painting as soon as possible. And we know he will.
I realize this news is going to be shocking to you and there are lots of questions. If you don’t hear directly from me right now, it’s because my main focus is on Bruce and his complete recovery. Each day is a lot of new information and a lot on energy and a lot of moving parts in new terrain. Please trust that I am doing ok. I am blessed to be surrounded with and supported by our family and friends. I am lucky to have each and every one of you holding us in the light and loving us in your way. Believing in music and believing in Love.
Please visit Bruce's CaringBridge page for updates.
